Sholavaram, a T-shaped track north of Chennai, India, was once a magnet for motor sports enthusiasts. From 1953 to 1989, it hosted thrilling races that attracted top drivers from across the globe. Racing Fiats and Ambassadors, F1, F2 and F5000 cars, home-built racing specials, Royal Enfields and Jawas — they all took to the airstrip track.
